Since the announcement on Monday that Facebook has bought Friendfeed I have noticed a large jump in the number of people subscribing to my feed on Friendfeed. My feeling, backed by no statistics, is that there has been an increase in the number of people joining Friendfeed, due to the announcement, to check it out – and the reason my subscribers have jumped is due to people coming over from Twitter that follow me there (when you join Friendfeed it gives you the option to subscribe to those you follow on Twitter and Facebook). I took a look at some of my new Friendfeed subscribers and sure enough most are coming from Twitter. There was even one that commented on joining Friendfeed after hearing the announcement on Monday. I did not expect this result – it is interesting.
